Winning combination!Review by Allie
I was a bit skeptical because this looked more gimmicky than functional but for my dry/sensitive skin, this turned out to be a win. I already love the Signature BB cream because it lasts longer than other brands of foundation and has benefits, but I don’t love how messy application can be: you either spend time thoroughly washing your fingers or makeup brushes. I never tried the BB cushion so my review is coming from using the Signature BB cream - I definitely love the convenience of this product.

+ Same ease of application and convenience of a compact with BB Cream benefits
+ No messy brushes etc. to cleanup making any touchups easy too
+ Included applicator puff gives even coverage for an airbrushed look
+ “Intense Moisture” formula didn’t bother my dry, sensitive skin at all
+ Formula is lightweight - doesn’t feel like you are wearing makeup
+ Doesn’t make skin look dry at all either
+ Nice packaging
+ Shade #21 is the same as it is with other products
+ Will last through a full day of work + errands afterward with some extra steps (see below)

- Maybe because I used the “Intense Moisture” type, but it looks more dewy than I prefer
- Definitely applies better and lasts longer with BB Boomer or a primer of some sort
- Have to set with powder to cut the shine, otherwise look a bit sweaty
- Setting spray locks everything down and is a must, otherwise makeup wears off about ⅔ through the work day.

Overall, I am very pleased with this product and will get it again. With some simple add-ons which I was using with other makeup anyway (boomer/primer, setting powder, setting spray), this product will provide all-day coverage while cutting down on time in the morning as there is no cleanup! Definitely recommend this. (Posted on 4/10/2017)
Natural Beauty Installer Review by Dorah
The Tension Pact is wonderful!!! I used it for 2 full weeks straight so far and am really loving it!! The mesh sponge applicator goes on really smoothly and makes for easy application. As advertised, the Intense Moisture pact does not have maximum coverage, and I found this to be true. Luckily though, my skin mainly just has some redness, which is fully corrected with this pact. I got the #21 pact and it fits my skin tone EXACTLY. That is a HUGE plus for me!! However, I would advice most people to go a shade up since I am very pale (literally only one of my friends has the same skin tone as me lol), so it is likely you will need a shade up from your regular unless they end up changing the formula. The foundation is very light-weight and has a clean feeling to it. I love that!

Looks very natural; not too dewy and definitely not dry
Goes on smoothly and feels really light
Layers upon itself beautifully if you need to re-apply. Honestly I am not sure I have another foundation that layers SO WELL on itself!! This one is amazing!!
Leaves skin feeling healthy and moisturized

Ok, one particular thing that impressed me the most was how well this foundation stayed on during a workout. I was particularly curious about this since my makeup usually runs when I use the M Magic Cushion. Oftentimes I just wash my whole face off before working out, but sometimes that's annoying to have to do. That being said, I have worked out later after getting off work without taking my makeup off and oh my gosh!!! The tension pact has just been fantastic!! Not sure how, but it stays!! So, if you are trying to impress your crush at the gym, or if you just don't want to have to take all your makeup off before working out, I highly recommend this. I am not saying that you should put this on solely to go workout in, rather that it will stay better than most foundations.

For optimal results, you do need to retouch after about 5-7 hours.
It works well on my normal skin, but I would not recommend for oily skin...not sure it will hold well.
Not sure how this would handle a night out, I am sensing likely not ideal for a clubbing night per-se, but perfect for a casual hangout type of night

Missha has amazing products and customer service!! I am going to purchase the Tone-up Glow since I was originally quite curious about that one. I would recommend everyone to try at least one of their Tension Pacts, especially if you like their Magic cushion.

Decent coverage, dewy finishReview by Vanessa
I was pleasantly surprised by the decent amount of coverage in the tension pact. The foundations applies easily and you don't need much to cover the whole face. The scent is medium-strong floral scent but personally not too bothersome for myself. One worry I usually have with "intense moisture" or dewy cushions is that they tend to look oily later on in the day. However, I felt that this wasn't too long-wearing as time for this was about 4-6 hours (with powder) before it started to look oily and cakey on my dry skin. I felt shade 23 was still too light for my Asian skin so I would love to try the 27 if available. Love the sturdy packaging and design and I really liked that they included a sample of the perfect cover version as that was the one that I initially wanted to try. I love the tension technology as you can tap your sponge once and get an even application. My original cushion got lost in the mail and Missha was so kind as to send another one right away so A+ customer service. (Posted on 4/10/2017)
Pretty dang good! Review by Miranda
I had the opportunity to test the Tension Pact over the last two weeks. I love it! I received shade 21, and it matched my skin quite well.

I really like how evenly the Tension pats on. It is nearly effortless and looks much better than if it had been brushed on or hand patted. It doesn't feel cakey at all, and doesn't dry out. Tension adequately covers my flaws without completely masking my features.

I have noticed is that the Tension settles into my eye creases, and isn't extremely durable. The durability, however, is almost a bonus, as I can just pat around the spot and smooth out any accidental mars. (Posted on 4/10/2017)
Missha Original Tension Pact in "Intense Moisture" Shade #21Review by starofjapan
Skin type: Dry
Age: 29
Shade in BB creams, cushions etc: #13
What I received: Missha Original Tension Pact in "Intense Moisture" Shade #21
IG: @starofjapan

I just wanted to state up front that for the purposes of this review I will not be rating the shade/color matching properties, as I typically am a #13, but was sent #21 as this was the lightest shade that Missha could accommodate at this time. Initially I had requested the tension pact in "Tone-up Glow" but that wasn't available either at the time. I am re-submitting this review on April 10, 2017 as my earlier review done on the 7th did not go through for some reason. I will be paraphrasing the various methods I used in application of this product during the course of two weeks.

For the initial few days after receiving the tension pact in the mail, I had applied the cushion using only my skincare (Missha's Cho Gong Jin line) and spf routine beforehand. I noticed that on it's own without primer or setting powder, this formula did not hold up well on my skin, and looked overly oily after only a few hours during the day. I had to use oil blotting tissues and reapply several times in order to keep it from looking sloppy. I'll also note that this formulation, much as most bb cushions, does oxidize, so be sure to get a shade lighter, that way it will match your skin better after the oxidization process takes effect (which is usually an hour or so).

After I did not find success with the above stated method, I added a setting powder over the next couple of days, using the same skincare and spf routine. This did allow the cushion to have a longer wearability - about 5 to 6 hours - but it didn't last a full day (for me, a full day consists of anywhere from 8 to 10 hours) and I still needed to touch up and use oil blotting tissues once or twice in the day. At which point I decided to go through a full/typical routine, this time adding Banila CO's blur primer. So going in order would be cleansing, toning, essence, emulsion, cream, spf, primer, cushion, setting powder. This gave me the best wearability throughout the day, where I only needed to touch up once using the puff applicator without the use of oil blotting tissues.

In conclusion, although I do normally have dry skin, I would most likely use this regularly only during the winter time. It's too bad I didn't get to test this out over the winter season, as it really only wears well with primer and setting powder in the current spring season. Given that fact, I do not think this particular formulation would hold up on my skin at all during the summer as it tends to get humid here, so my skin would produce more sebum at that time. I still think this is a great product, and would work well for those with EXTEMELY dry skin, those who live in climates that are cold year round (Alaska maybe?) or otherwise live in places with dry air. I also wanted to add that I am very much attached to my long-winded Kbeauty routine, so I have not tried an abbreviated skincare regimen in combination with this tension pact, so that may also be something that could be done to prevent it from becoming too "moisturizing" or oily during the day. At this time I would like to give a sincere appreciation and thanks to MisshaUS in sending me this product to test and review, and would be very interested in any future endeavors similar to this. Dewy and moistReview by Diana
I'm reviewing the intense moisture tension pack in no.21. The packaging is very cute and sturdy. The mirror under the cap is of adequate size and clear. The puff is smooth and comfortable for application. The puff is separated from the makeup and the closure is tight. This is my first time using a tension pack, so perhaps there is a learning curve. It seems like the application is best when it's patted on, as opposed to smeared or blended. Overall, it provides 4/5 coverage. I dont feel it's buildable, but can use concealer for added coverage. This intense moisture pact does, in fact, keep my skin looking glowy, but the area around my nose appears dry and requires some additional blending. I am a little concerned about keeping the puff clean, but this is coming from someone who otherwise uses their fingers to apply liquid foundation.the foundation part of this pact is easily removeable, so I anticipate Missha can sell refills for cheaper. That's an added bonus. Overall, I would recommend this product. (Posted on 4/10/2017)
The perfect foundation for a minimal makeup look with light- to medium- coverage. Review by Anastasia L.
The packaging upon arrival was very unique as it arrived nicely boxed and came with a pamphlet featuring the product and its' features. The foundation is rather thick which is perfect for the applicator for which I adore. I also love that the foundation is scented in an elegant scent. The scent is rather refreshing and reminds me of freshly picked flowers. Although the foundation was a lot lighter than my skin tone, I believe I would have enjoyed and loved it more if it was a tab darker to match my skin tone. In my opinion, I would say that the coverage for the foundation is between light- to medium-coverage. I would definitely wear this foundation on days that I am feeling for a minimal makeup look that will still provide me coverage and cover my blemishes. As I have said that this particular product is a lot lighter than my skin tone, therefore I would probably mix it with another foundation to match my skin tone before wearing. As this is my very first Korean made product, makeup product foundation, I am quite impressed. Thank you for giving me the privilege to test and review such a beautiful product. I really enjoyed it and am hoping to look for more open opportunities with the brand. If you are someone looking for a foundation to use as a go-to, I would definitely recommend this product. It is very easy to use as well as taking it with you wherever you make go. If you are looking for a product that is going to provide you a natural makeup look that is enough to have coverage, this it the product. (Posted on 4/9/2017)
Super moisturizing, great coverage, not super heavyReview by Rachel
I was a little skeptical of the product at first, but it's grown on me over the past week that I've had it. The coverage is amazing (I don't think I'll need any more concealers in the future), and my skin feels really soft after application. It does feel a little heavier than Missha's M Magic Moisture cushion, but it helps with some of my dry patches a little better. The only way this product could get better is that if it was sold at the same price as the other M Magic cushions. (Posted on 4/6/2017)
Wonderful for dry skin!Review by Liz
First off, I would like to extend a big thanks to your company for allowing me to test the Missha Original Tension Pact. I have never tried any Missha products, but I have always heard good things. So it was a great honor to be chosen to test this product. I chose the Missha Original Tension Pact in Intense moisture, shade #23. I will compare it to my current foundation compact, which I will not name for brand names sake, but note it is a popular brand name. When I first opened the compact and studied the tension net and very soft pad applicator, I knew right off the bat that this was going to be a different and unique experience to apply foundation. It's a very clean application process, you just press the pad gently on the tension net and the foundation absorbs on the pad and you apply to the face. Going on my face this foundation was very smooth and even moisturizing, which was a very nice feeling for my extra dry skin. It did not clump up on my flakey skin which was a huge relief and past problem for me with my current foundation. The coverage on my face was perfect for me, it covered my flaws but also not a heavy coverage. I don't like a heavy coverage feel I want a more natural look. Also, this tension pact foundation lasted all day for me. If you like a heavier coverage you might reapply before going out, but for me it was perfect all day. So after trying this for over a week, I can honestly say that I absolutely love the Missha Original Tension Pact. I strongly recommend the intense moisture tension compact if you have dry skin and like a lighter coverage. Again I would like to thank the Missha company for giving me this opportunity and making me a regular customer and believer of your products. (Posted on 4/6/2017)
Pros & ConsReview by Lam
I really wanted to give this Tension Pact the most honest test and here are my personal results: (Mixed Complexion: T-zone dry and Normal overall)

Base #1: Without BB boomer; Clean skin with Missha brand toner & moisturizer

Pros: Great lightweight feel overall. Not heavy with fragrance. Good light overall coverage. Skin does have a soft focus look to it when no powder is applied. Truly long lasting just don't rub your face and or hug anyone too close or their clothes will be wearing your face. When used with the Tension Pact Cushion that comes with, the coverage and appearance overall is by far the best of Missha's foundation compacts.

Cons: Will smudge if not set with powder. Might not be the best fit for anyone the exfoliates and have uneven complexion due to the fact that the Tension Pact will settle into and enhance any dry patches. Should NOT be used with even the best of brushes because it will settle and stay in all lines and wrinkles. Extremely hard to remove if one is accidentally heavy handed with application. {It took me 3 cycles on my Clarisonic facial brush to get every bit of the product out of the fine lines.}. Does not completely cover dark spots and or acne scars and or darker pigmented Rosacea.

Base #2: With BB Boomer, Missha Brand Toner, Moisturizer on freshly clean skin

Pros: With the BB Boomer base, the Tension Pact feels more moisturizing and darkens the color tone just a bit. Application coverage overall still have to be light handed otherwise if will start settling into the fine lines. Make-up removal with the BB Boomer base on first before Tension Pact application, is much easier.

Cons: Smudges with a touch when not set with powder. Does highlight dry patches. Will fill in fine lines with heavy applications of the product so when one use facial expressions ... it's not pretty. Because one has to be light handed with the application, it will not cover dark spots and or acne spots and or darker pigmented Rosacea completely.

I gave this Tension Pact 4 out of 5 because when application is light, it does a good job being long lasting with a fresh moisturizing feel all day. I'm still grateful for being a part of the Tension Testers and will be using this product until Missha develops their next best. (Posted on 4/5/2017)
very satisfiedReview by whitetuna
The packaging is cute (light pink )and durable.
I have slightly dry skin and used intense moisture, it is must have for all dry skin ladies out there!!!
I used with Missha BB Boomer before I applied the tension pact and it give healthy glow on my cheek bone and t-zone / and powdery finish on elsewhere.
Love the combination effect that gives to my complexion. I will buy this again and again!!! oh, I forgot to mention that the puff inside the pact is soft and evenly distribute the pact, so I could re-touch at any time without worrying about cakey foundation look!
I applied this every morning and only retouch the part as I need time to time, but there was no darkening at the end of the day, surprisingly!
Must have for anybody who loves healthy glow/ good coverage/ natural make-up look!!!

Natural beautyReview by Juliepatchouli81
The original tension pact in intense moisture evens out my skin tone while leaving me looking slightly dewy, not greasy. I don't wear a lot of makeup but this is easy to wear a light layer and build up to a more full coverage look where needed. It looks natural which is what I like best, like my skin but better! I did find it settled into lines slightly if I did not use a primer, but honestly that could have been my lack of experience with cushion pacts and foundation in general. It held up great for a full day at work and I didn't need any touch ups. I love that it has spf as well, I live at high altitude in the rocky mountains so the added moisture and spf are essential. No breakouts either! The packaging is beautiful as well, I love the ring of purple chrome around the case. (Posted on 4/5/2017)
Perfect foundationReview by tina
I have been using "The original tension pact with intense moisture" for the last 5-6days now and
loving it. It's perfect for my skin problems which I needed little more moisturized foundation.
I like the mesh design because it distribute very evenly and I liked the light weight feeling with
pretty good coverage. only problem I have is ...I got no.21 shade and next time I'm going to buy no.23 in
perfect cover tension pact but other than that overall it's great product. thank you for letting me
test this wonderful new product Missha!! (Posted on 4/4/2017)
Love the coverage but the colour wasn't right for meReview by inkchick
First off, let me just say that this product feels terrific - light and not the least bit cakey. It smooths on like a dream and offers coverage that's just the right balance between sheer & natural and actually covering up the little imperfections I'd rather not show the world. It's super in those respects. Additionally, it really does offer that extra bit of moisturizing my skin craves during cold, dry weather. Hurrah for that! Unfortunately, it was a couple of shades darker than my natural skin tone and thus not a great match. *sigh* But I still recommend it because it's a terrific product. Anyone who, like me, has been looking for the elusive medium coverage holy grail is sure to find it here. (Posted on 4/4/2017)
Moisturizing and smooth coverageReview by Tea
I was very excited to try the new Tension product and I was not disappointed. I have been content using a moisturizing bb cream with Misha's famous Boomer product until now. This Tension Pact is providing me with moisture, coverage, and a subtle glow on my mature face. The initial application was a bit moist but my skin drank it in and the result was a healthy, "brighter" complexion. Another plus is that I do not need to use a correction stick on my little blotchy spots with this Tension Pact product. Looks like this is my new go-to and will have to purchase another to put in my swim bag. (Posted on 4/4/2017)
Intense moisture indeedReview by Marissa B.
The SHORT version: I love the moisturizing effect of the Missha The Original Tension Pact - Intense Moisture. I enjoy the burst of moisture and cooling effect I feel whenever I apply it. I love the glowing skin I get after application, which lasts all day. In fact, the longer it is on my skin, the better it looks. I appreciate the moisturizing ingredients, along with SPF, that are in it. The product consistency is perfect for travelers like me as it does not get affected by how the case is stored - you always get an even amount on the puff to apply on your face. The only thing I dislike is that it creases on the eyelids so I avoid applying it there.

The LONG version: I have combination skin that is dry on the cheeks while oily on the T-zone. I have sun spots/age spots. I LOVE the following:
(1) Delightful packaging. Very appealing pastel-colored case with nice holographic design, which to me speaks of uniqueness when it comes to beauty. Sturdy case and excellent sponge/puff.
(2) Product consistency is perfect for travelers. The compact can be on its side or upside down during travel and still dispense an even amount of product every time, unlike the typical compact cushion that ideally should sit upright or it will dispense product on the sponge unevenly based on the way the case was stored.
(3) Beneficial ingredients. Aside from having SPF, it also contains botanical oils, hyaluronic acid, ceramide, etc. No wonder it feels so moisturizing, while being fragrance-free!
(4) Beautiful coverage that enhances my skin. Aside from the cooling effect and burst of moisture when applied, you get a natural-looking application, even if you decide to layer the product; I have tried two layers, and it still looked natural. You get a nice, subtle glow that lasts the whole day without touch-up. In fact, the longer I wore it, the better it looked on my skin. It evens out my skin tone, with redness covered up while sun spots are softened because of the glow it gives.

I DID NOT LIKE that it creases on the eyelids. I usually apply the product to my whole face for an even look, as I have always done with compact cushions. However, I have found this one to crease on my eyelids, all the time. My solution is to just skip that part of my face and it still works out fine.

I highly recommend this product for people with dry skin or combination skin. Just a final note: If you typically wear #21, pick a #23 instead.

Smooth and dewy coverageReview by Jamie
I have very sensitive, dry skin and I was very impressed with how moisturizing this cushion was. It was almost too moisturizing as I could still feel it on my face at the end of the day. However, it covered my rosacea redness nicely, and left me looking smooth and dewy, but not shiny, for the whole day. Just be sure to exfoliate before using as it will highlight any dry patches. I loved how long this cushion lasted on me, and how nice my skin looked. The tension net aspect works really well and after I got used to how much product it dispensed, I was able to distribute it perfectly for the best coverage (don't press too hard!). The cushion felt light on my skin, more like wearing a heavy moisturizer rather than a face full of foundation, however I'm not sure how it will hold up to summer weather or if it will start to melt. It also transferred rather easily. I touch my face often, and noticed a few of the spots had less coverage. I'm not sure if that would be helped by using some setting powder.

While I loved this for my dry skin, I am not sure this would be the best product for someone with oily or combination skin. I'd say give it a shot though, as it's quite lovely!

Worth It!Review by Nicole
Originally I asked for the Perfect Cover pact because I have combination skin and am afraid of messing up the balance. However they were only able to provide the Intense Moisture (shade no. 23) pact because of the popularity of the Perfect Cover pact, which worked out for me as a medication and an allergic reaction have made my skin quite dry! The coverage of the Perfect Moisture seems like a lot at first but once you blend it into the skin with some tapping, it's definitely more medium almost like some kind of BB cream, so not quite as much as they said it was, but the color blends well. I am a little pale with more yellow undertones rather than pink (pale Filipina, if that helps) and the match was pretty good! It works well with or without a primer I find, and I love the natural dewy (not oily!) glow it provides. At first I was on the fence but the more you use it, the more you fall in love with it due to its natural coverage and comfortable wear. It doesn't settle into fine lines so much and works well with concealer if needed, and feels fresh and keeps your skin feeling moisturized all day. I suggest definitely springing for this if you have drier skin, but if you don't exfoliate it'll point out dead skin. However I hope if you try it that it'll become your daily favorite as well. :) Thanks Missha! (Posted on 3/31/2017)
The Perfect Moisturizing Cushion for Combo SkinReview by Claire
Upon using the Tension Pact for about a week, I came to the conclusion that it would be a perfect moisturizing pact for someone who has combination skin and wants a glow. I received shade no.21. It was a tad too pink for my very neutral undertone but I was able to work with it just fine. One of the things I had immediately noted was not to press too hard when dispensing the product onto the puff. The pact itself has a lot of foundation; it was almost shocking. As the cushion claims, the tension net evenly distributes the product over the puff and I found that it did that perfectly. The coverage to the cushion is better than nearly every moisturizing foundation I have tried, seeing that I had worn little to no concealer when I wore the cushion. My main concern was redness and it covered it very well. The main problem that I would dock a star for is its longevity. I had hoped the pigment and the formula would hold up and keep the moisture and I found that it went away by the end of the day. When it began to wear away, the formulation clung a bit to some dry patches and sunk into smile lines and lines under my eyes. But, it is absolutely fine to reapply because the application allows the cushion to look natural and skin-like. I live in a very humid and hot climate and as it is getting warmer and more humid, I would be interested in seeing how the cushion holds up. I think it may be one of those foundations that looks good when it mixes with natural oils. So, final line: If you want a moisturizing and slightly glowy foundation for dry skin or combo (maybe mostly in the spring, winter and fall months; the summer may cause someone to be to oily and the foundation may slip) definitely check this cushion out. I believe it will be my go-to summer foundation due to its easy and quick application and light feeling. (Posted on 3/30/2017)
Intense moisture- the name doesn't lie!Review by Adrienne
I love the tension aspect of this cushion! Its such a better format than the traditional sponge cushion, I really don't know why all companies don't use this format! The formula is extremely moisturizing, I can't imagine this will work for you unless you are very dry like me. Even as a very dry skinned person, I still set this with a bit of powder to help prevent it from slipping around and transferring, but I found that it still does transfer which is why I knocked off a star (in addition to the shade range). I am pretty impressed by the coverage of this pact as well, it definitely is much more full coverage than most of my foundations which is hard to find in a dewy finish foundation!. I'm lucky that the #21 worked pretty well for my skin tone (~NC15-20) but it was a bit light. I won't say that the is my HG foundation, but I do enjoy using it and am happy to have it in my collection. This is my first makeup product from Missha and I'm definitely interested in trying more after using this! (Posted on 3/30/2017)
