I ordered the glow one and it has no coverage at all. Does it glow? I am not so sure. (Posted on 5/16/2017)
foundation made easy!Review by Jana
For someone like me that is somewhat puzzled with makeup foundation and finding the right color The Original Tension Pact made is great. The "tension net" made it easy for me to get the right amount of product that meant less waste; the puff was soft and gentle against my skin. I was initially worried when I saw the color thinking it might be too light however it worked! The coverage is light; however is perfect for someone like me that does not wear heavy makeup on a daily basis. My skin looked more evenly toned and i was grateful for the SPF. The Tension Pact made my skin glow even after walking miles down in a city environment. I would highly recommend The Original Tension Pact to anyone especially in today’s world where other forms of makeup are used to have a similar effect. I also love the fact that MISSHA does not test on animals! I hope this review is helpful. (Posted on 4/21/2017)
Great Great Great!Review by Nanda
I have received a Missha Tension Up Glow in exchange for a honest review about the product. I wanted to use this for at least 2 weeks to see how my skin would react. I have dry, sensitive and acne prone skin ( real mess huh?)
I decide to breakdown this review and talk about the points I really consider important.
1. Coverage: It does provide a sheer coverage and it's good for day time. I don't have a lot of blemishes to cover so it worked perfectly for me. I even added a second layer of the product because I wanted to see if I could build up coverage. The aswer?? Yes you can but still does not provide full coverage. The best part is that my skin didn't look cakey, which is a plus for me.
2. Better than a regular BB Cream? Could be depending on your skin type. I am a huge fan of BB creams but the Tension gives you a more natural look, not to mention the glow. While I was testing it my friends said: "You have wonderul skin!" In addition, it's super easy to apply!!
3. Does the Tension lasts ?? Yes, Yes, Yes!! It kept my skin moistured the whole time as well ( huge thing since I have dry skin). I still need to test in the summer to see how it goes though.
4. Worth to buy it?? Yes, for sure! If you are looking for a natural glowing even skin.I am also buying the other 2 versions to see what power they hold!

Stepping up the game!!Review by Sarahndipity
True to its name, this product brightens the complexion immensely while molding to the skin for a natural, dewy look. It works well with sunscreen, provides a pearly glow, and leaves skin moisturized when you have to take it off. The glow off sets any blemishes or bumps you may have giving your skin a smooth appearance while not caking up. However, if you are looking for coverage I would try the Perfect Cover version as this product provides minimal coverage and will not completely cover redness or dark circles. It layers beautifully and wonderfully adheres to the skin but you can only build it up to medium coverage. I love how lightweight the formula is and because of the creamy texture it blends effortlessly and lasts for about 5 hours before it needs a retouch. I would recommend setting your under eyes with powder to avoid creasing but overall I have found that this product doesn't settle in any other fine lines and doesn't crease easily. However if you are not a big fan of being extra glowy by the end of the day and are more of a matte fan then I would recommend powdering your entire face. Its great for daily use and I have yet to experience any breakouts since using this pact but if you are going for a more glamorous look then I will say it is a bit difficult to build on (blush, contour, coverage). Other than that, enjoy the toting this travel friendly tension pact around and showing off the beautiful holographic packaging!

Interesting ProductReview by desertcat
I was sent this for review. I'm normally a #27, but this only goes as dark as #23. I hope they will add a #27 later though, because I'm often a little too pale for #27 when I'm not tanned. I think this product might help bridge the gap. I'm not sure everyone understands this product. This is a whitening formula, it's supposed to make you look paler, so it runs lighter than the normal shade. That stark white look is very popular in Korea. Buy this if you want whitening and dewy. You can definitely wear this as a brightening primer, or between primer and foundation layers. The coverage is very light, so you can put this on first and then it will lighten up whatever you put over it. It doesn't mesh well with Perfect Cover BB tube, but it did look nice under some other foundations I have. Even though it's not matte, I liked the finish and it didn't break up or get oilier over the day. Be careful, my compact was overfilled and I pressed down and squished out a TON of product, way too much, you can only tap down very gently, unlike the other Missha compacts I've tried. Better Alternative to a BB Cream!Review by JUDY
I received the Tone Up Glow formula of the Tension pact to sample and review.

My skin: I am DRY! I'm 26 years old, and I am a NC30 in Mac.

First impressions: This product is beautiful! The pretty light blue really draws your towards the product. The cushion itself is sleek and compact. LOVE how it looks. Once you open the product, it will review an average looking sponge applicator used for cushions. I appreciate that the applicator is a light skin color because it still looks "clean" even after use. I prefer this to the dark sponge applicators because they look so dirty. The foundation itself smells good, but definitely a very subtle clean smell. Not overpowering and very pleasant.

Application: Opening the cover, I was pleasantly surprised to see the cushion itself was very unique, unlike any other. Instead of your common sponge cushion, its looks like a tightly woven netting that allows product through the seams. You can tell the foundation in there is a whipped consistency and looks airy but not too liquidy. This cushion is incredibly unique and makes for a flawless application. I love how the product disburses onto the sponge. The cushion gives just the right amount of product and doesn't waste any.

I tried applying this product using three methods in the two weeks I tested it. I used the sponge that it came with, a beauty blender, and a foundation brush. I would say the sponge that it comes with works the best because the product gets soaked up too much by the other two. The sponge really helps the product absorb into the skin evenly and apply flawlessly.

Coverage: This product give a sheer to light coverage. It is ideal for those of you who have pretty good skin with minimal blemishes to cover, but you still want a little foundation to even you out. Your actual skin will peek through no matter how many layers of this foundation you use. It's not meant to have much coverage, and exists more for the effect than the coverage. The foundation is VERY DEWY and VERY GLOWY. It gives my skin a beautiful sheen and the finish reminds me of the dewy skin that Korean celebrities have in k-dramas. If you can imagine Mac Strobe Cream as a whipped light coverage foundation, this is the product.

Performance: My skin LOVES how it feels on the skin because its very moisturizing and doesn't irritate my dry patches. I'm a fan of the SPF benefits because I would ideally wear this foundation to the beach, to the gym, or on days where I want very minimal coverage. This foundation gives a solid 4 hours before dissolving with integrity. It kind of evaporates onto the skin after 4 hours, and you'll have to reapply at this time. After application, it never truly "sets" and kind of feels tacky or wet to the touch. It's a little annoying, so sometimes I will dust it with a sheer powder to make sure it doesn't move. I avoid this if possible since the powder really takes away from the glowing effect of this foundation. So I usually just do bronzer and let the foundation do its thing.

Overall thoughts: I truly enjoyed this product. I usually prefer medium to full coverage, but I liked having this as an option for my no-makeup makeup days. When I did wear it, I got a lot of compliments on how glowy, healthy, and youthful my skin looked. However, this particular formula leans on the cooler side of skin tones. It really washed me out as a NC30 with yellow undertones. I'm hoping the new colors they come out with will be a little more yellow/warmer tone for people like me.

Rating: I give this product a four out of five stars. I loved most of the features of this product, from the packaging itself, to the application, as well as the formula. I had to take off one star for two reasons: 1) the cool undertone was not suitable for warm tones skins, 2) I wish this product had a little bit more coverage to help me cover some of my blemishes. Had this product been the right color and had a little more coverage, I would have used this product every day. Still, if you have good skin and want a dewy finish, this is the product for you.

Lighter than BB Cream perfect cover 23Review by Beeegee
I'm usually a shade 23 in the Missha BB Cream, but this was too light for me. I think it is due to the fact that the Tone Up Glow tension pact has a pink undertone while I naturally have a yellow undertone. The BB Cream usually oxidizes to match my skin tone, this tension pact does not exidize. What color it is when you apply it is the color you get. Even though I'm paler than usual due to the lack of sun during the Chicago winter, it was still a shade lighter than my face. Despite the color mismatch, the product was easy to apply and buildable to cover some hyperpigmentation although it still isn't a full coverage. I have oily/combo skin so I set it with powder and it still gave me a dewy effect without being super shiny after a few hours. I still needed to blot but that's just something I have to do with my skin after a few hours. It didn't feel heavy on my face and I liked wearing it. I hope there are darker shades in this specific version so we can actually get a shade to match our skin tones. I received this product for an honest review. I originally asked for a no 23 perfect cover tension pact but was given tone up glow to try instead. (Posted on 4/8/2017)
A must try!Review by Elcey
Perfect for the days I don't want a full face of makeup. The texture feels creamy and soft on the skin. It goes on quite naturally and gives my face a nice, dewy glow. Like the product suggests, it doesn't have the greatest coverage, which is why I give it a 4 star. The packaging is feminine and chic; and the puff applicator is soft and easy to capture.

If you have oily/combination skin, you may need to set it with setting or finishing powder or your face might look a bit more shiny than you'd like (unless that's the look you're going for). Overall I give this product a thumbs up. (Posted on 4/7/2017)
A welcome surprise! Review by Georgieyp
Initially, I'd pressed down a bit too hard (too used to the "normal" cushion compacts). I was afraid that that would mean I'd get WAY too much product on my face, but was pleasantly surprised to find that the sponge applicator (the puff) doesn't seem to absorb too much, thankfully! Application was way easier and smoother than I'm used to with the "normal" cushions. There wasn't as much tap-tapping needed to get decent coverage. I was also afraid that this would be MUCH too bright/pale compared to my natural skin tone because it's called "tone up," but it did just brighten me up, without making me a ghost. The coverage was moist, without making me look shiny, the dry down was pretty semi-matte and soft to the touch. The scent was also pleasant and pretty subtle.

My only gripe so far is that the SPF is only 30, but that's pretty minor . this is a really great product, especially for someone like me, who doesn't generally wear any makeup, but does like to have a product like this to correct tone and smooth my complexion, when I need/want it!

I love it! (Posted on 4/7/2017)
Nice texture but...Review by Angelina
This review is for the tone up glow. I had received the pact in exchange for an honest review. I had requested the perfect cover but they ran out in my color choice, so they sent me the tone up glow. I really like the tension pact and the way the product is dispensed when you press the applicator to the surface. The product felt good on my face. What I didn't like was how the color made my face really red and flushed. I wonder if that's because it's the tone up glow version and it doesn't really complement my face. But because the product does feel nice, I'm going to purchase the perfect cover and try it out. I'm hoping that will work for my Asian skin with yellow undertones. (Posted on 4/6/2017)
I recommend it! Review by Monica
Compared to the Missha essence cushion I like this one better. It has better coverage and it lasts longer. I think this will last you for months compared to any other cushion because of the mesh design. I was shocked to see how much product it has after constant use and re-application for 1 week of use. This gives even distribution of foundation compared to the sponge designed cushion and you only need a light tap to get the product on the puff. I hope they offer darker shades on this one. This'll be a great addition on summer when you just want a lightweight consistency.
I have an oily face with pretty visible pores so at first try I used it with a matte primer and it's perfect but it clings to dry skin so you have to exfoliate to achieve perfect coverage. Personally it kinda made my pores visible too if I don't use any primer. But overall i love it since it gives me perfect coverage without feeling heavy and it covers the darkspots and bags!!

Excellent coverage and long lasingReview by Alycegoo
I have been using the Original Tension Pact Tone Up Glow in #23 for two weeks and absolutely love it! The first day or two it took me a while to get used to because I have never used a foundation quite like this before. The tension net is unique. I have a cream foundation in a compact and the tension net helps ensure that I get an even coverage every time. The foundation lasts all day at work. I have even fallen asleep with my makeup on and it was still on the next day! I use it with the Closing Cover Liquid Concealer for any blemishes or dark spots and the Style Fitting Wear Cashmere Powder to set it for the perfect look. (Posted on 4/5/2017)
Silky Sheer CoverageReview by MBEE
The compact is clean looking and very user friendly. I love the Tension concept which allows for super easy distribution for a professional look. "Glow" is the perfect description for this product since it imparts a very moist glow which I might imagine may be too much for oily skin. The coverage is sheer, yet it leaves a thin veil which gives an extremely finished look. My skin stayed soft and moisturized though out the day. This product would have received 5 stars from me, but didn't due to the limited color choice. Number 23 was way too light for my skin which in certain lighting turned the "glow" in to an eerie glow rather than a healthy glow. I would like to see some darker shades added to the pallet, but other than that, the product is excellent. (Posted on 4/4/2017)
Natural looking but provides coverage!Review by This is my cup of tea!
I was very lucky to be able to receive the Missha The Original Tension Pact Tone-Up Glow in #23 to be able to try out. I originally wanted to try the Perfect Cover version but was given the Tone-Up Glow version instead, and what a nice surprise! The shade 23 was a bit lighter than my skin, but I found that the shade really helped to brighten up my whole face. I loved everything about the compact. It's extremely stylish, not messy at all application-wise and is perfect for on-the-go makeup application in the morning. It saves me time when I get ready in the morning but I still look put-together. The cushion and delivery mechanism is amazing. The cushion and the netting provides even and smooth coverage without having to work too hard to blend into the skin. This Tone-Up Glow version provides really good amount of coverage. I even use it on my whole face without needing additional concealer! It stays well the whole day and I don't have to set the compact with additional powder. I have regular to dry skin and I find that this product doesn't accentuate dry lines or flakes, but it helps to keep my face "moist" looking. Some days when my skin is a bit more hydrated, the product does make my face appear a bit more oily in my T-zone if I do not set it with powder. Between this product and the Missha Magic Cushion, I'm not sure which I prefer more! I wish the new product had SPF 50+ PA+++ like the Magic Cushion and that the tone was a bit more yellow. However, they both are amazing in terms of how well they work for me on my skin. I would definitely repurchase this product but I would also like to try out Missha's other versions as well. hmm....Review by emmie
I have mixed feelings about this pact. For starters the packaging is absolutely gorgeous. The formula is very light weight and moisturizing, but there is hardly any coverage and it doesn't last throughout the day. This is a tone up foundation so shade 23 is actually around shade 21 and has a pinkish undertone. It is very glowy so the advertisement requirements have been met. However, I have oily, textured skin with acne scars. This slightly emphasized the uneven texture of my skin even with a smoothing primer and honestly covered nothing; not even the extremely small and faint freckles. As I stated, I have oily skin so this broke down very badly after 2-3 hours. My skin tone is around Nc-30 so this cushion was much too light, even shade 23 is too light sometimes. I am personally not a fan of the dewy look on my own skin so the amount of dew this pact gives off wasn't very appealing to me. I would reccomend this to someone who has pale and generally good skin that wants very very sheer coverage and a lot of glow. I think if I had that skin type I would be in love this foundation but I did not have a good experience with this. On the other hand, thank you missha for allowing me to test this product! Brighten and soften!Review by Jijae
My skin type is Combination-sensitive and my concerns fading hyperpigmentation! I was received this product for a review and while I didn't have much expectations, this cushion really impressed me! I have N20-25 shade for reference!

It comes in a pretty case which is slightly wider than the missha signature essence cushion which you can see in the picture to compare! Both are No.23 but the tone up glow is lighter than the essence bb cushion. Both have a pinkish undertone but the tension cushion is a bit more ivory while the essence bb cushion is beige.

Coverage is definitely a sheer to medium. Has a floral scent which I do not mind and definitely has quite a bit of product! The mesh design evenly distributed the product so that you don't get too much on one side of the applicator puff. It leaves a glowy finish of course which you can always mattify with setting powder. I would say that normal to oil skin people definitely will need to set with this cushion. it looks really smooth and didn't stick to or accentuate my dry patches which I really enjoy! It can transfer a little bit too easily for comfort so try not to touch your face too much!

Overall this product leaves a smooth, dewy finish and feels very lightweight on the skin while evening out my skintone and covering my blemishes! Doesn't stick to fine lines and feels moisturizing enough for my combo skin. It lasts quite a while for me as I can go 6 hours before I need any touch ups around my nose. It stays together really well throughout the day and I'm probably enjoying this cushion more than the magic cushion and signature essence. I'm probably going to go for the original as I like a more natural finish rather than a glowy/dewy finish and I'd go with this during winter! (Posted on 4/3/2017)
Tension Top Up Glow is very impressive and simple to useReview by Kathleen W.
Tension Top Up Glow Review

I was given a free compact and I am happy to review the Tension Top Up Glow. It is nicer than I expected it to be. The compact is attractive and well designed. The product is in a section with a tight fit cover that opens to the side so you can access the product. This cover keeps it from drying out or leaking. There is a place for the sponge applicator on top of this cover and the compact lid keeps the sponge covered and clean.

If I wanted one word to describe it I would use "fresh". There is a slight scent which is light a clean. It's not overpowering or unpleasant. The product applies easily and you don't use a lot. This means you don't look like you are wearing a lot of thick goop on your face. You look like you but a bit smoother and more even toned. I loved that the shade really was fair as they promised. Often I can't find a shade for my light skin tone.

I will buy this again and maybe try one without the glow. Give it a try, I bet you will be impressed too! (Posted on 4/3/2017)
Sheer coverage, but still looks greatReview by Kat
I really enjoy this cushion! I prefer a fuller coverage for my makeup, but despite having sheer coverage, it still evens out my skin tone. It won't cover major red spots or redness around the nose all that well, but little concealer won't hurt. The foundation doesn't feel too heavy, and it feels really cool when applied to the skin. This foundation will give you that dewy glow to give off that healthy glowy skin. If you're not all into that glowy skin, a little of powder will help tone it down. The lasting power is amazing! I can go through a day wearing the product and my makeup will not slip around. My tip for the tension pacts would be to beware the net! Don't press too hard onto the net, as the product will kind of spew everywhere (it kind of did for me because I am so used to the sponge for ll the cushions). A little pat goes a long way. The packaging is beautiful (loving the holographic!) and the puff is so soft. I really do love this! (Posted on 4/1/2017)
I like it!Review by missrei
For daily wear, I like at least a medium coverage, semi-matte look. I'm 40, combination Asian skin, even with the dehydration that comes with aging, I need a bit of oil control in my base makeup - so I've never had success with 'glowy' products. I received this as a tester. To my surprise, it has a decent amount of coverage; one layer evens out my skin tone, two takes care of redness and lighter pigmentation. The tension net technology is legit - the applicator picks up a very even layer of product. Unless you are heavy handed, it is difficult to look heavy or cakey. I've been enjoying it for super quick, 'no make-up' days, evens me out with extra SPF. Cooling and beautiful glow upon application, stays a bit tacky so I have to powder if using any other powder products (cream blushes blend beautifully without setting powder). Unfortunately on me, it starts feeling/looking a bit greasy after 2-3 hrs. With primer, maybe 4 hrs. I do love the application, it is much closer to my preferred brush/damp beauty sponge application than a traditional cushion. I'm excited to see if I like the Natural Cover or Perfect Cover formulas better for oil control and longevity. I mix 23&27 when using Perfect Cover BB Cream, so expected this to be too light, but the 23 for this formula blended seamlessly, with a little brightening.

Extra side note, a year and a half ago, I could not have been confident with this amount of coverage; but exploring K-beauty has improved my skin so much! Time Revolution First Treatment Essence, Night Serum, and Super Aqua Sleeping Packs are highly recommended. Thanks Missha! (Posted on 3/31/2017)
BeautifulReview by Janine
When I first put it on, it was much lighter in texture and more liquid-like than any of the other Missha cushions I've tried. I think this is because it's more of a foundation than a BB cream. At first the color was not what I had expected for 23 (it was much lighter) and you could see my red spots breaking through. I finished applying and it left me with a very polished complexion, more than I normally like, but after applying some powder over on top of it and all was fine. Then, after some minutes I saw that it had looked more like my skin color and I applied a little more on my stubborn areas and now I love it. It has a light to medium coverage, but did cover my sun spot and red patches with another layer added. And after a day's worth of wear, it hasn't caked or settled in any of my fine lines around my eyes and my pores look minimized. It's not tacky once it settles and my skin feels soft and moisturized. Leaves that nice natural dewy skin texture that I think others will appreciate (again, if you don't, just use powder on top). And last but not least: because it's light, it actually makes my skin look much 'healthier,' if that makes sense, compared to the other Missha BB creams/cushions which can sometimes cake, or simply look a little more obvious on the skin.
